MODIFIED DUMP PINOCHLE GAME RULES - NON-LADDERSTATS

  1. All games are to 500 points or 12 hands, whichever occurs first, unless otherwise specified.

  2. New tables are to be created for every game. Top seeded team will create table - at least 20 points needed to score, extra score for duplicate sequences, UNRATED and, once created, protected. Creating a private table without prior permission or specific instruction from the TD could result in disqualification.

  3. This game is played like a normal pinochle game with one exception - minimum opening bid is 60 instead of 50. Otherwise all players are to pass until the bid reaches the dealer. The winning bidder or the dealer then names trump suit. If that player does not have a marriage or if the team cannot total 20 meld then that team is board set for the hand.

  4. If any player should bid less than 60, the opposing team will receive 100 points as a penalty. The hand in which the bid occurred will then be skipped. A second bid infraction by any player will result in that player's disqualification. The TD will keep records of any penalties on paper.

  5. The person who creates the table will announce the next hand number after the previous hand is completed (Example: 1/12, 2/12, 3/12, etc.).

  6. If you are not playing you may watch on another tourney table provided you do not disturb the other players. If you choose to do so please do not attempt to kibitz.

  7. Each team has a boot time limit of 15 minutes per game. Each team can be off the table 4 times per game. Any team exceeding these limits will be disqualified. The TD or TDA must be notified, either by table chat, lounge chat or IM, when a boot occurs. The timer for the boot will start when the TD or TDA arrives at the table and announces the time.

  8. All pagers and ICQs are to be disconnected. Any private messages at the tables once the game has started is considered cheating and will result in disqualification. The only exceptions to this rule are Head TDs and Ladder Admins who are required to keep them on by the Ladder and MyLeague.

  9. All Ladder rules not specifically addressed here are in effect.

  10. Subs will be chosen by TD out of players with byes. In the event one can not be found, the tourney player will find a sub. If no sub is available the TD will be allowed to sub. In the finals, the finalists are to choose their subs.

  11. This is a non-LadderStats tourney. No reports need be made.

  12. All players will abide by the decisions of the TD. There are avenues of appeal available to a player to protest the TD's decisions but during this or any tourney the TD's decision will stand.

  13. The Boston Rule is applicable. If a Boston (where one team takes all hand tricks) is pulled that team wins the game. If you do pull a Boston, please ensure the TD is present at the table to witness the last trick before it is played in order to verify the win.

  14. Most important, HAVE FUN, enjoy and good luck!!!
